Wanna resize a picture in a smooth and seamless way? This app is for you. Simply load a picture from your computer, adjust the slider to resize (shrink or expand), and see the result in real-time as you move!
This app implements a powerful technique called Seam Carving (with positive energy), and is fast, smooth, and fun! You can even mark regions as
"must preserve" or "must remove" -- and that's how the middle duck was taken out. Like the result? Click Save (as PNG)!

Friday, January 29, 2010 2:30 AMWow, this is cool! It's great to use to edit out stuff in that background that I don't want. Awesome. Thanks.

Friday, January 29, 2010 2:33 AMHope you'd try out Silver Craver. Here are a few tips on how to use it. (1) You can load either Jpg or Png images. (2) Use green brush to mark regions as protected (e.g. the two outside ducks in the logo picture) and red to mark as removed (e.g. the middle duck). Note, you can only use the brushes before you start resizing. (3) Now resize the image using the slider -- either shrinking or expanding. (4) Check out the "show seam?" checkbox to find out how Silver Craver craves out unwanted regions, one seam at a time. (5) If you hit the commit button, whatever change you made is accepted (as if the resize image is newly loaded), and you can mark the regions again. (6) Save the result to Png. Done!

Monday, February 1, 2010 9:55 AMThis is wonderful. I would definitely rate it with 5 stars ! I have used it and it is so user friendly. I am not good at computer. I find this to be a lot easier to use with effective results.
