The MIX 10K Challenge was introduced in 2008, as part of the campaign for the upcoming MIX conference. Web developers and designers eager to get involved with MIX before the event, and hoping to win a trip to the event (or perhaps it was just the lure of a cool t-shirt), submitted their entries just weeks after the contest launched, and the first MIX 10K Challenge was ON!
On the surface, the MIX 10K Challenge is about demonstrating elegant, simplistic design – both in the code and UI. At its core, however, it’s about much more. It’s a challenge to push the Web to a place where new scenarios are unlocked and richer experiences are delivered through a mix of frameworks and technologies.
